The participation of the Joaquín Fernández de la Vara Pi Museum of Natural History in the seabird count as part of the World Shorebird Count Day is one of the actions of this institution as part of its efforts to protect the environment.
Multiple ecological initiatives throughout the month of September are being developed by this Museum, which is about to celebrate its 55th anniversary and continues to be committed to life and nature. Proof of this is its recent insertion in this international count that technicians and workers of the outstanding cultural center carried out in areas of the coastal coast in the region of Las Balsas, an activity that is part of the event that took place on the planet from September 1 to 17. In addition to this activity of scientific contribution to the care of fauna species existing in the wetland, the Facebook profile of the Natural History Museum of Gibara aims to promote the positioning of other activities aimed at the collective awareness for a safe, healthier and better preserved world.
