The 5th edition of the Festival Teatro del Mar concluded with the participation of Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and other regions of Cuba, with a total of 12 plays presented. The event, this time held online through virtual spaces on social networks, was supported by the Municipal System of Culture Houses, the José Martí Brigade and the Gibaravisión community telecenter. With the hope of returning to the meeting in person next year, the performing arts festival closed its doors after three days of festival just when the Colonial Theater of Gibara reached its 131st anniversary. With a historical trajectory in Gibara's culture for its transcendent artistic value, this event defends among its objectives the promotion of works created by theater groups, artists and creators from all over the country that seek the impulse of this art with the need to revitalize and stimulate the life of the artistic genre in the locality.
