With the official presentation of the program of activities, the preparations for the Day of Cuban Culture 2021 in the municipality of Gibara begin today. Dedicated to the 153rd anniversary of the beginning of the struggles for independence, the 55th anniversary of the Joaquín Fernández de la Vara Pi Museum of Natural History and the 35th anniversary of the Hermanos Saíz Association, as well as to the personality of Humberto Solás on the 80th anniversary of his birth, a series of cultural activities will take place in the municipality from October 10 to 20, which will be disseminated through the media and social networks.
With the Culture of the nation as the Center and the enhancement of our local customs and traditions, each of the institutions of the sector in the territory will carry out their social intervention actions taking into account the current measures derived from the epidemiological hygienic situation. Literature, dance, music, cinema, theater, visual arts and other artistic manifestations will be the protagonists of the festive spectacle that this year will group around 45 activities through the Facebook page Cultura Gibara. Already the Villa Blanca is preparing for the event while during the week, other Popular Councils of the municipality will begin preparations for the celebration that throughout the island will be dedicated to the centenary of Cintio Vitier and the founding of the National Library of Cuba, many reasons to sing and pay tribute to the Cuba of love.
