The highest political and governmental authorities, students of Medical Sciences and a representation of the people of Gibara gathered at the monument to Camilo Cienfuegos to pay homage to the hero of Yaguajay on the 62nd anniversary of his physical disappearance.
During the political and cultural act, the Union of Young Communist Youths gave out cards to young people outstanding in study and work and doctors Yolenno Ismael Pérez Silva and Arsenio Sablón Meriño, members of the Henry Reeve Brigade received the Labor Prowess medal for their outstanding participation in the confrontation with the Covid 19.
Yanelis Rodríguez Paneque, First Secretary of the Union of Young Communists of Cuba in Holguín, presented the Youth for Life awards to the students of Medical Sciences who stood out in the fight against the pandemic.
