The Caja Extra Service by Banco Popular de Ahorro (BPA) in Holguin, starts this Friday, March 4.

Due to the lack of ATMs in 9 of Holguin's 14 municipalities, BPA, together with the Grupo Empresarial de Comercio, decided to offer the population the option of going to bodegas, industrial markets and restaurants to obtain cash without having to go to the bank.

The assistance is available to all customers associated with an electronic payment channel, either Transfermovil or Enzona. Initially, it starts with the latter platform.

Among its tools we find 'cash withdrawal'. In this option the user must scan the QR code of the commerce unit and define the desired amount up to one thousand pesos per day; then a transfer is made to the institution's account and, depending on its availability, the cash is delivered. Citizens must present their identification documents to register the process.

This modality will start in the municipality of Cacocum and will be available in three of its business units, El Parque Restaurant with both platforms and La Bodega 4 next to the Industrial Market, only with Enzona. It is a priority to add other territories such as Calixto García, Gibara, Cueto, Holguín, Urbano Noris and Moa, to cover the whole province.

The Institutional Communicator of BPA refers to the payment by the Bank of a commission to those companies that collaborate according to the number of people attended daily.

The joint work with the Grupo Empresarial de Comercio is more feasible due to the availability for some time of the Enzona payment service, but the incorporation of the transfermovil platform and new units is expected soon in order to achieve greater coverage.
